Anne Williams started her tattoo career during the winter of 1998-99 when she built her first machine, learned to make needles by hand and tattooed the first of many roses on her left leg. She completed an apprenticeship at Erno's Tattoo, San Francisco in 1999 and worked there full-time from 2000 until the shop closed in December 2001. In 2002 she joined the amazing crew of women artists at Black and Blue Tattoo.

Anne's artistic pursuits include intaglio and relief printmaking, drawing and painting, black and white photography and fiber arts. She shows and sells her prints in San Francisco and Oakland. Anne became the mom of a beautiful daughter in November 2006.

When not tattooing or working at the preschool co-op, Anne dreams of knitting obsessively. Like she used to.
